Bacon & Barrels San Diego's Event Highlights
Friday, May 30th - 4 Course VIP Beer & Wine Pairing Dinner at Bassmnt
Celebrity Chef Brooke Williamson, one of the Top Chefs in the Country will be holding court for our Bacon Inspired Dinner to be held at Bassmnt in San Diego. Co-Owner and Co-Executive Chef of the Hudson House, and The Tripel, Chef Williamson finished second in the all ladyTop Chef: Seattle Finals, and has gone on to mentor up and coming Chefs in the MTV Series,House of Food. The 4-Course VIP Dinner, featuring Beer pairings by “Dr. Bill” Sysak of Stone Brewing and Qupe wines, paired by Ethan Lindquist, will be held at Bassmnt in downtown San Diego on Friday, May 30th from 5:30pm - 8:30pm. · Deviled crispy chicken skin toasts, lobster, bacon, and pickled habanero hot sauce

· Sugar pea tendrils & burrata salad, radishes, sugar snap peas and warm bacon vinaigrette

· Braised bacon, corn and salted cod chowder, corn salad, aged sherry vinegar roasted pepper puree

· Maple & bourbon baked apples with vanilla bean ice cream, bacon crumble & salted bourbon caramel

Saturday, May 31st - Grand Tasting at Embarcadero Marina Park South
Local chefs create their most imaginative, fresh recipes incorporating bacon. Bacon & Barrels also features the best artisan and craft barrel beverages such as bourbon, beer, wine, and cocktails! All tastings are unlimited!
We are bringing in some of the best Santa Barbara county wineries! If you find something you love, some of the wineries will have order forms on hand for you to purchase bottles, to be shipped from the winery.
That's not all...Bacon & Barrels will also feature live music from the Black Crystal Wolf Kids, the first-ever indie-rock tribute act, and indie darlings, The Stone Foxes.
A day-long festival is just not complete without games. Bacon & Barrels will bring you giant Connect-4 provided by Hope Family Wines, bocci ball, and cornhole by Beach Cities Bag Toss! Bring your beach blanket and beach chairs for extra hard chillin'. Don't forget your refillable water bottle! We are a green event and will have water stations at the park for you to fill your Bacon & Barrels provided tasting cup, or your refillable water bottle.
