San Diego, CA (February 3, 2014) – Bacon & Barrels San Diego, the definitive outdoor festival for the bacon obsessed foodies and those who prefer their drinks from a barrel, announced today that San Francisco’s, The Stone Foxes will headline the event, with support from LA’s, the Black Crystal Wolf Kids.
Create Promotions and YourBash!, the event producers of Bacon & Barrels, sought out bands that would bring a high-energy live show and would represent the festival, which aims to celebrate food, libations and music.
About The Stone Foxes: Heavily influenced by some of the great rock, blues and folk stars of the 60s and 70s, The Stone Foxes have been praised for their "electric live performances.” USA Today calls the band “irresistible” and NPR says “The Stone Foxes have an energetic style with diverse moods ranging from acoustic twang to thunderous electric-guitar riffs."
The band has successfully supported The Black Keys, Cage The Elephant, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, City and Colour and performed at such high profile events as Outside Lands Music & Arts Festival, Voodoo Music Experience, Jazz Aspen and many more. Their version of the classic “I’m A King Bee” is the soundtrack to the national advertising campaign for Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey).
About the Black Crystal Wolf Kids: Inspired by the audience participation of the Flaming Lips, the anything-goes attitude of The Henry Clay People, and the over-the-toppedness of 80s tribute bands like Fast Times, Black Crystal Wolf Kids are the world's first indie-rock tribute band, paying costumed, sing-along-encouraged homage to the best music of right now (from MGMT to Phoenix to Grouplove) as well as indie's storied past (Pavement; the Pixies; Cracker).
